The Servers page is finally live (ldtlan.com/servers).  The purpose of this page is to list all active servers that we are administering and are online.  These servers will be accessible both remotely and at the LANs.

How it works:

  1. Servers are listed  by game type and the icon for the game will automatically open the appropriate game on your machine, connect you to the right ip/port and input the password for you.  Once you click the remember my choice checkbox you will not need to do anything once clicking the icon and you will automatically be put into the game/server.
  2. Information such as current map and how long the server has been online as well as the last server update will be displayed.
  3. The Player count block lists a summary of number of players on the server and max number of players.  The secondary function is when you hover over the block it displays a live list of all players by handle and steam id on the server.  Links have been automatically generated for each player so that you can click on their names and it will take you directly to their steam profile so that you can friend people on our servers easily.  This information will eventually be fed into the members page once that is complete.  Currently there is a filler user being shown when the servers are empty to give an idea of how it will work.  These will be removed later.

Should you want to connect manually to these servers using console and ip/port the password if prompted is “ldtlanpass”.  Using the links on the server page you will not need to enter this.

In addition to this page I have created an “Activity” page.  This page will list all activity on the site, (who logs in and when and what actions are being done on the site), so you can see if someone was just on the site.
